Born in Scotland, Jean has been prominent in the NZ folk scene since the 1970s.She mainly plays guitar and is known primarily as a fine exponent of songs from the British tradition.
Jean also writes her own songs and with her powerful, haunting voice is one of NZ folk music’s top female vocalists.
