For over 30 years, the Welfare Committee of the Auckland Irish Club has been a quiet but powerful presence in the lives of Irish community members facing hardship. Run entirely by volunteers and funded through the generosity of donors, the committee offers practical and emotional support when it’s needed most.

From sending flowers to the sick or bereaved, to providing food and clothing to families in crisis, assisting with medical expenses, or offering shelter to those escaping unsafe situations—the committee responds with compassion, confidentiality, and care. During major events like Cyclone Gabrielle and the COVID pandemic, their efforts became a lifeline for many.
