We welcome new member to join us, first though why not drop into our club at Fowlds Park Rocky Nook Avenue Mt Albert and enjoy the Craic, warmth, hospitality and get to know people – you wont want to leave.
Our club is built on the strength of our members, many who are volunteers amongst us making this a wonderful welcoming club to be part of. Amongst the generation of new Irish arriving frequently we have first generation young ones and many others who’s ancestors would have arrived in New Zealand from the early 1800s to make their home here and built this large community of a home away from home for us all which is like being part of one big extended family.
The close-knit community feel of the club means you’ll never miss home – you can hear accents from all over Ireland and even across the globe, enjoy the traditional (as well as the modern) music played here and the friendships made.
Our Friday nights and Sundays are special events for the Club. (Check our Facebook page for the latest events) This is when we encourage families to come along and participate in the activities and catch up with each other or play a game of pool. Our other events include indoor and outdoor bowls, ceili and Irish dancing classes, card games (25), a knitting club, quiz nights and we support the GAA with regular
input and activities to be involved in. We also work in closely with Rocky Nook Outdoor Bowls for their events.
The Auckland Irish Club is pleased to announce that our 2024/25 membership is now open! As a member, you’ll have access to a range of events and activities throughout the year, including live music, cultural celebrations, sports, and more.
Our membership runs from April 1st 2024 to March 31st 2025, so you’ll have plenty of time to enjoy all that we have to offer. We offer two types of memberships: Adult memberships for $30, and this year family memberships are also $30 which covers 2 adults and any children (under 18 years old). Family memberships are a great option for those with children who want to involve the whole family in the fun.
